Macumber & McNamara Connections

My Grandfather, James "Clair" MacDonald, married Esther Lucinda "Lucy" McNamara,  of what was previously known as Brookville, Hants County, N.S.,  but is now known as "Bramber",  along the Kempt Shore in Hants Co., N.S.  Bramber, in earlier times, was originally part of the Village of Cheverie.  It was also known as "Man Of War's Land. as the entire shore area was set aside by the government for disbanded soldiers.  Lucy's father, William "Henry" McNamara was "Lost At Sea" when Lucy was a young child.  Her mother, Lilly "Florence" Macumber later remarried.  Lucy was named after both of her grandmothers, Lucinda Lake and Esther Sanford.  Here is a brief history of some of these families from Brookville (Bramber), Kempt Shore, Hants Co., N.S.

                                                       MCNAMARA CONNECTIONS
 
Not much in known regarding Patrick McNamara.  He met with an unfortunate end at the home of the "Whiteheads", just outside of Windsor, Hants Co., N.S. in December of 1890, leaving a widow with three young children to raise.  Here is a brief history of the descendants of Patrick McNamara:
